University Professor, hospital practitioner at the University of Nantes Medical School and former Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF, USA). He is the director of the Data Clinic at the University Hospital of Nantes. He is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in the Biology Department. After a master's degree in public health from the University of Paris XI in 2002, he obtained a PhD in immunogenetic epidemiology and public health from the University of Toulouse-III in 2005. He moved to the United States to do a postdoctoral research in neuroimmunogenetics on multiple sclerosis in San Francisco (UCSF) where he became an assistant-professor in 2011. Author of 135 publications, his research activities are positioned at the crossroads of immunology, genetics and health data processing.
